Hi! We’re two sisters who have loved art since we were little—basically since we could hold a crayon. We’ve also been doing community service projects for as long as we can remember with family and friends in the Baltimore region. Even when we were only two years old, we were already finding small ways to serve our community!
In sixth grade, Hailey joined a knitting club where students were encouraged to knit a hat for the homeless. Hailey was inspired and set a goal to make 100 hats by 8th grade! Now, over 100 donated hats later, Hailey and her sister Norah want to make an even bigger impact.
Now, we’re combining our love of art, creativity, knitting, and
crocheting with our passion for helping people.

Heartstrings is a community service-based company founded by two middle school sisters with a passion for helping others through creativity and care. They hand-knit and crocheted hats, blankets, and other cozy items with a buy one, give one model—meaning for every item purchased, another is donated to someone in need. Their mission is to bring warmth, comfort, and kindness to the homeless, sick, and underserved communities of Baltimore, Maryland, one handmade piece at a time.
